Description


A nocturnal creature, it inhabits the dense undergrowth, making little tunnel-like trails through which it moves. It lives alone except when breeding.

Regions

S.E. Asia, Indonesia in lowland forest, usually near water

Diet

It feeds on grass, leaves, fallen fruit and berries.

Breeding

The female gives birth to 1 young after a gestation of about 5 months.
