Pileated Gibbon

Appearance

Male is black,female is white.New born is white after 4-6 months hair on breast and head will change in black, in the middle of the head in circle shape. After 3-4 years old, male will change in black except eyebrown , back of hand and foot and testicle whick still white. Female will not change in black, black on head and breast. Look like have black crown on female's head. White curly around the dark spot on the head as male.

Found in Laos, west of Khlong river in Cambodia. East of Thailand e.g. Surin Bureerum Prachiburi, Trad, Khao Yai National Park. in

Diet

fruit, young leave, bird egg and insect.

Breeding

Breeding at 7-8 years old, gestation period 240 days, give single birth.
