Appearance

Big water bird, 90 cm high, white and green black spot on the back, pink on the wing and lower back, dark bar across the breast , black wing and tail. The bill and face skin are yellow and brown legs. Younger bird has light brown on the body, black at the edge of throat, no dark bar across the breast.

Description



Regions

Found in low land in India, east of China, and south of Myanmar, Thailand, Indochina to Malayu. in Breeding during January to beginning of February. Male and female will builld the nest by bough like a basin,lay with leafs ,lay 2-4 eggs, feeding around the pools.
