Appearance
The Brahminy Kite is notably
white along its head, neck, chest, legs and feet,
and has distinguishing brown feathers on its wings.

Diet
The brahminy kite feeds on frogs,
crabs, snakes, fish, insects and some carrion. It
also scavenges around human habitation for all kinds
of scraps and refuse. |
Breeding
At the breeding site the birds
perform display flights before starting to build a
nest. The nest is made of sticks and lined with leaves
and is sited in a tree or among mangroves. The female
lays 1 to 4 eggs, which she incubates for 26 or 27
days while her mate keeps her supplied with food. |
